Gerry JonesWriter/Journalist/Union and Social Activist
I was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland but lived most of my adult time on the mainland. While Newfoundland remains "home" in the true sense of the word, Canada is my playground. I currently live in Ottawa. I was a journalist for most of the working life, starting out as a freelance writer, then worked with newspapers for a short period before moving to CBC radio and television. Now that I'm sort of semi-retired I get to spend more time doing the things I really enjoy, like writing, volunteer work and lots of fun stuff. I am a member of the Writers' Union of Canada and the Canadian Authors Association. www.writersunion.ca www.CanAuthors.org |
